Apis Nomadica Labs

Where Mobile Science Meets Apiculture and Mycology

About Us

Apis Nomadica Labs is a pioneering mobile research unit dedicated to the study of bees, fungi, and their interconnected ecologies. Unlike traditional research facilities confined to static locations, our solar-powered trailer-laboratory travels across diverse American landscapes, allowing us to conduct field research where it matters most—in the living laboratories of varied ecosystems.

We've reimagined what independent science can look like: untethered from institutional constraints yet committed to rigorous methodology. Our mobile approach enables direct observation of how different bioregions influence the remarkable products of the hive—from honey and propolis to royal jelly and venom—while simultaneously exploring the fascinating symbiotic relationships between fungi and bees.

By bringing our lab to the field rather than samples to a distant lab, we capture the full context of ecological relationships. This nomadic model reveals insights that would otherwise remain hidden within the complex tapestry of place, season, and biodiversity.

Mission Statement

Apis Nomadica Labs exists to advance our understanding of bee-derived compounds and fungal-bee interactions through independent, field-based scientific inquiry that honors the complexity of natural systems.

Our core goals:

Tiered Funding Vision

$65,000 — Foundation Phase

The Foundation Phase establishes our core research infrastructure and begins our systematic documentation of bioregional variations in bee products.

$100,000 — Amplification Phase
